About our job opening

The position is for placement in MAVA with 28 care places divided into 4 teams.

The medical team usually consists of senior physicians, specialists, residents, interns, and sometimes other ultrasound technicians and candidates. One of the teams is rounded by residents who are supervised by the attending specialist. The patient categories include general internal medicine patients as well as stable cardiology patients.

With us, you are a key person and will join a great team that cares for each other and the operation. As a senior physician, you are an integral part of the medical team and collaborate closely with other professional categories in the clinic. Training and courses are provided both internally and externally.

We want to strengthen MAVA for the future and be the ward that can handle more advanced patients in internal medicine. We have a vision of opening IMA places within a couple of years.

About us

The medical area (VO) is one of the hospital's largest areas and has a broad operation with specialists in general internal medicine, cardiology, hematology, pulmonology, allergology, nephrology, gastroenterology, diabetes, endocrinology, and oncology. We have a significant educational mission with large parts of the medical course for medical education located at SÄS. We are proud to call ourselves a university hospital unit, which means a quality stamp on our research and educational capacity.

The medical area is organized into three sections: hematology/oncology section, pulmonology/gastroenterology/endocrinology/medicine/kidney section, and cardiology section. Within the sections, there are medical chiefs, operationally responsible senior physicians, and ward managers who lead the development of the work.

Our mission is to provide internal medicine care for the residents in our catchment area, and we do this with great and dedicated commitment.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a Swedish medical license and a background as a specialist in internal medicine. You must be proficient in Swedish at least at level C1. You may already be a senior physician or have at least 5 years of professional experience as a specialist and possibly a subspecialty.
